Who We Are
Ohio Reading and Math Corps (est. 2012) is an AmeriCorps program operating in approximately 35 school districts across the state of Ohio.
Our Mission: Empowering students and building confidence by providing targeted literacy and math intervention to below-proficient students across Ohio.
What We Do
Our program provides individualized reading and math support to students in grades K-5 who are below proficient for their grade level. Members receive extensive professional development, then report to their site for 30 hours per week where they provide support to 20-30 students. Service includes lesson planning, tutoring, data collection, attending team meetings, and other activities intended to improve student outcomes.
