RAHAB Ministries serves adult women survivors of sex trafficking at the Akron Drop-In Home. The Drop-In Home is designed to be safe and welcoming space for women who are being exploited and abused in their daily lives. This is where they can come and be treated with dignity and care as they receive respite, relationships, and resources. This October, RAHAB will welcome volunteers to provide overdue repairs and maintenance to the Akron Drop-In Home.
Volunteers will replace the front door frame and the front door screen, paint the front door, porch columns, recently installed porch railings on the front and side, and the flooring of the front porch and side steps. Volunteers will also participate in general fall clean up around the house and property, including cleaning gutters, raking leaves, and deep cleaning in the home and transportation vans. If time allows, there are multiple maintenance projects that volunteers can assist with, including hanging shelves to provide more storage areas for donations.
