The Preble County Amateur Radio Group (ARES) will meet at 4:00 pm at the Preble County Sheriff's Office for ID Badging, then to Preble County EMA, 6818 US 127 N., Eaton, for volunteer information and to confirm registration in the Get Connected / ServeOhio site.
The Preble County Amateur Radio Group - ARES performs critical back-up radio communications for the Preble County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and Preble County first responders when other forms of communications are down. This group will assist with other communication needs for Preble County EMA and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). This group also monitors incoming severe weather and provides reports to the EMA.
