Join us at our inaugural Habitat Heroes volunteer project! Become a hero for the environment by working with our stewardship department to create more sustainable and quality habitat for the benefits of nature and man alike. This year we will be at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve removing the invasive tree buckthorn. Snacks, tools, and training will be provided. Note: This will be a large event and parking may be limited, carpooling is encouraged!Register by October 22nd to reserve a Volunteer T-shirt.

| Inclement Weather Plan: Rain or shine, we will be removing the buckthorn. Only thunderstorms or a snow emergency would cancel this event. The nature center is an indoor facility with restrooms and the Hankison Great room wherein we can shelter, warm-up and have lunch. Lunch, t-shirt and a mug are included with volunteer participation. | |
