Join us Friday, April 3 for Grow Strong Trimble, a day of community impact!

This event brings together community gardening, literacy, and well-being.  We welcome volunteers and participants for any or all of the days activities, including:

3:15pm-6:00pm: Garden improvement, including the installation of a mini lending library and distributing seed starters

*Includes complimentary snacks from Cornerstone Deli and dinner from Sikorski's Home Plate*

6:00pm-7:30pm: Kids activities focused on self-pride and well-being

6:00pm-6:45pm: Adult program focused on what makes Trimble strong: what are Trimble's strengths and what would make it stronger

*Includes a gift card for community members who participate*

6:45pm-7:30pm: Adult program focused on resource sharing, with representatives from different organizations tabling and sharing ways that they can help Trimble grow strong. 

Participating organizations include:

317Board, Appalachian Children Coalition, Athens City County Health Department, Athens County Public Libraries, The Athens Village, the Boys and Girls Club of Glouster, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

The garden program at Grow Strong Trimble is organized by Rural Action, Community Fund Initiatives, and the Boys and Girls Club of Glouster with support from ServeOhio as a Global Youth Service Day.
