Hospice Volunteer - Cuyahoga County and surrounding areas!
Volunteer activities available
-Sitting with patients to provide companionship, play games, and offer a friendly, comforting presence.
-Sending encouraging letters and cards.
-Assisting in light household chores and errands.
-Calling patients and their families to check on needs.
-Making blankets, quilts, pillows, and crafts for our patients.
-Providing support to our bereaved families by assisting with mailings, phone calls and in-home grief support visits.
-And so much more!
Qualifications:
-Maintain confidentiality
-Ability to work independently and take directions well.
-Empathetic listening skills
-Ability to understand and tolerate hardship stories.
