What We Do

OUR MISSION Wayne County R.E.A.C.T. Independent (Regional Emergency Assistance Community Taskforce) is a Non-Profit Organization that consists of a group of 100% volunteers. Our Team members are skilled Radio Communications Operators, Certified Storm Spotters and First Responderswho are Committed professionals with a desire to assist their Communities in times of Emergency or disaster. PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES To develop the use of two-way radio communications as an additional resource for Community activities, Emergencies, disasters etc. To coordinate efforts with, snd provide communications support to other Organizations, such as American Red Cross, Emergency Management, Local, State, and Federal Authorities and other agencies and organizations during Emergencies and disasters. To establish 24-hour Volunteer monitoring of Emergency calls, particularly over officially designated emergency radio frequencies, from personal radio service operators, and report such calls to appropriate emergency authorities. To serve our communities when storms or other disasters damage critical communication Infrastructure, including cell towers, and.wired and wireless networks by providing critical information such as weather updates, emergency Broadcasts and assist with coordinating and ​accelerating relief efforts to affected areas.
