Koinonia Camp and Conference Center

Koinonia Camp & Conference Center is a ministry dedicated to changing lives. Those who visit the camp have an opportunity to swim, fish, canoe, horseback ride, play paintball, take a hike on a wooded trail, and so much more. Our trained facilitators are always willing to lead groups to a better understanding of leadership, group dynamics, and personal assessment, while using the natural terrain and our many low initiatives. Our regulation sized athletic field is a great place for soccer camps, football camps, marching band camps or to simply play Frisbee as a group. Whether a visitor comes as a summer camper or with a school group, they always find a friendly smile, clean facilities, and wonderful food to help make their stay a memorable one. Our facility is open year round with the ability to house 125 to 250 people depending on the season. Our main lodge is equipped with meeting rooms, a fireplace, other amenities and can sleep up to 60, for small group retreats or meetings. The American Baptist Churches of the Akron Association, Ashtabula Association and Cleveland Region maintain and promote the programming and facilities of Koinonia Camp & Conference Center for the purpose of sharing and teaching the love of Jesus Christ. Through the use of the outdoor environment, and with dedicated leadership, we are committed to providing a safe and friendly place for the spiritual, physical and mental development of youth and adults.

Koinonia's purpose is to change lives. We do this through youth Summer camps as well as camps for individuals with developmental disabilities. We will be expanding programming to offer equine-assisted activities and therapy including adaptive riding and occupational therapy services that integrates horses into therapy sessions.
