Who We Are

M.A.V. Youth Mentoring, formerly known as Big Brothers Big Sisters, offers four youth mentoring programs in Mercer, Auglaize and Van Wert Counties:

What We Do

Our mission is to provide all children facing difficulties a positive, professionally supported 1-on-1 relationship that improves their lives, forever. One-to-One, Lunch Club, Mission & Vision, and the After School Buddies Program. One-to-One Program: This program pairs youth ages 5-15 with adult volunteer mentors from the community. Matches meet 2-3 times per month and commit to a one-year mentorship. Lunch Club Program: Students are matched with adult volunteers who meet with them twice a month during their lunch period throughout the school year. Mission & Vision Program: This group mentoring initiative is implemented in St. Marys Middle School and Wapakoneta Middle School, focusing on empathy, self-esteem, and self-regulation. All participants undergo a thorough application and screening process before acceptance. These programs make a profound impact on the youth in our communities, fostering meaningful relationships and personal growth.
