Northeast Ohio 4-H Camps Inc., Camp Whitewood

Who We Are

Camp Whitewood's mission is to develop positive and productive life skills through group interaction in the natural environment. It is our wish that each camper grow in appreciation, respect, and knowledge of: * oneself * their peers * their counselors and staff * the creatures and plants in their surrounding environment Since its establishment in 1940, Camp Whitewood has been known as a "home away from home" for many children in its surrounding communities. It started as a 4-H camp, and still serves 4-H participants and non-participants today. Camp Whitewood touches the hearts of those who experience it, allowing them to discover who they are, and take that confidence with them out into the world.

What We Do

Established in 1940, Camp Whitewood provides year-round outdoor educational opportunities on 227 acres in Northeast Ohio. Nestled between beautiful Warner’s Hollow and historical orchards, the unique campus is also home to Young Adventurers Day Camp, Grindstone Creek Lodge & Conference Center, and is an official stop on the Maple Tour in Northeastern Ohio. Campers participate in a range of skill building activities including areas such as Swimming, Boating, Arts & Crafts, Shooting Sports, and Nature. 4-H Camp Whitewood is proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), together we believe the camp experience is essential to every child’s growth and education. We think 4-H Camp Whitewood is the Best 4-H Camp in Ohio!
