Village of Mantua

The Village of Mantua is located along the Cuyahoga River in Portage County. The Village of Mantua became established in the early 1800's and was a shipping point for area farmers. We had a railroad station and various saloons. As Mantua Village began to grow it was officially incorporated in 1898. We are a peaceful village, filled with historic buildings and friendly people who care.

The Village of Mantua's mission is to continue to make our community a better place to live. We ensure our village is clean, lend assistance where needed, strive to make it better by giving necessary updates, work on progressing our community and making it a more beautiful place to live and visit.
