This includes actively recruiting students for the purpose of serving the community."

The Alford Community Leadership and involvement center houses the community/civic engagement work on Denison's campus and partners with other departments and organizations that do community engagement work. We achieve our mission by having one day, campus wide service events for 9/11 Day of Service, Make a Difference Day, MLK Day of Service, Big Red's Big Day, and Earth Day Campus Clean Up. Our office houses the largest student led community service organization, the Denison Community Service Association which addresses issues that the Licking County community faces of: Human Rights and Advocacy, Educational Equity, Economic Equity and Affordable Housing, Animal Rights, Immigration and Refugee Advocacy, Sustainability and Conservation, and Civic Engagement
