Who We Are
HealthCorps is a national 501(c)(3) organization working to eliminate health inequity and improve lives by educating and empowering teens — encouraging them to become change-agents within their families, schools, and neighborhoods.
What We Do
HealthCorps programs meet teens where they are — at a peak point of mind and body development, with growing curiosity, autonomy, and influence, and – for too many – in communities impacted with health disparities. We partner with communities to engage young people as change-makers to achieve better health outcomes — now and for years to come. Over the past two decades, we developed a model grounded in research and practice to create REAL results with NEAR-PEER mentoring and innovative approaches to health and wellness. Our year-long, school and community center-based programs utilize local near-peer mentors to deliver HealthCorps' evidence-based curriculum and health-promoting events focused on mental health, nutrition, and physical activity.
