Who We Are

The Southeast Region 7 DART is hubbed out of Athens County and is overseen by the Emergency Management Agencies of the Southeast Region. Volunteers have the option to support any county identified in the Southeast region: Noble, Meigs, Morgan, Adams, Scioto, Lawrence, Ross, Perry, Jackson, Pike, Vinton, Muskingum, Hocking, Ross, Guernsey, Athens. Our focus is to ensure animals can stay with their families and families are reunited with their animals as soon as possible.

What We Do

Disaster Animal Response Teams (DARTs) are volunteer teams that provide emergency services and support for animals during disasters or emergencies when emergency assistance is needed and requested. This can include setting up and staffing emergency animal shelters, supporting full time animal response agencies, and assisting in the evacuation and care of animals. Animals affected by disaster may include a wide variety of animals, including pets, livestock, strays, and even wildlife.
