Nehemiah Partners of Sandusky

Who We Are

Nehemiah Partners was established as a non-profit in 2007 by a handful of local churches. The vision was to provide a safe, bully-free place for Sandusky children. A faith-based nonprofit, Nehemiah Partners offers age-appropriate activities, mentoring, and guidance aimed at spiritual, physical, and relational well being to the kids of Sandusky.

What We Do

The Nehemiah Partners of Sandusky exists to encourage, empower, and educate children in grades kindergarten through eighth in the Sandusky community. This is accomplished through our afterschool, mentorship, and summer programs. The dream of the Nehemiah Center began back in 2009 when Campbell School was first purchased so that we could provide an afterschool program for area children. What started with one refurbished classroom and six children has grown into a full-scale program utilizing most of the building and accommodating up to one hundred children. Located in the heart of need in Sandusky, our children strive for a safe environment where they can learn and grow. Unfortunately, 94.2% of students in the Sandusky City School District are economically disadvantaged (Ohio Department of Education). That’s why the Nehemiah Center intentionally provides children with a safe, fun place to come after school where they receive educational support and food.
