Who We Are

Founded in 1948 and renamed in 1963 as the Greater Cleveland Neighborhood Centers Association or NCA, we were the first organization in the United States to serve as a coordinating entity for settlement houses and neighborhood centers in an urban area. NCA and its member centers engaged Cleveland residents with a range of social, educational and related services. Over time NCA evolved from an association into an organization that has partnered with a wider range of community-based organizations and institutions in order to provide services to children, families and older adults that meet their needs where they are.

What We Do

We provide afterschool and summer youth programing for children and services that reduce social isolation and loneliness in older adults. Our Non Profit Advantage program provides backend (finance, accounting, technology and human resources) to other 501c3 organizations. Our focus is on enhancing education, experience and engagement in urban neighborhoods.
