Who We Are

University Settlement is a community based settlement house. Our programs assist youth, adults and seniors obtain education and services that improve their quality of life. We provide services in four key areas: Youth (After-school programs, summer camp, tutoring and prevention), Families (Family to Family, Fatherhood and Strengthening Families) and Community (AmeriCorps, Hunger Center and Magic Johnson Empowerment Center).

What We Do

Provide programs and services to help individuals and families Learn, Grow and Thrive.  Through NEO Skill Corps, our AmeriCorps Program we provide workforce development training and education where individuals are able to obtain and maintain employment with in-demand industries.  They receive financial education to develop money management skills to begin their journey to economic self-sufficiency.  

We work to combat generation poverty and literacy issues to help Northeast Ohio Communities to increase their chance of advancement in their current job or to provide skills necessary to become employed in a position or industry to matches their natural talents and interests.  By doing this we help to engage individual in employment that will lead to advancement into a career and not just a job.
