Help remove unhelpful saplings from the newly restored wetland at Carter Historic Farm. We will be cutting and dropping of mainly cottonwoods. We will not be dragging and chipping. Many hands will be helpful for this project. We recommend signing up for only one timeslot in the am, or pm, but not both. This opportunity involves walking on uneven ground.
We will provide the tools, gloves, and instruction. We recommend wearing closed-toed shoes (over-the-ankle boots are best), long pants, and long-sleeves. Dress for the weather.
Your efforts will do much to help the young wetland habitat to become established before being crowded out.
