No Excuses College Tours and Programs will host a community cleanup day at South Avondale Middle School on April 11. Volunteers will help beautify the HBCU Literacy Hub by cleaning the surrounding area, pulling weeds, planting flowers, and painting flower pots. This effort is part of our continued commitment to maintaining a welcoming space that celebrates HBCUs, literacy, and community pride.
Global Youth Service Day
Established in 1988, Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) celebrates and mobilizes the millions of young people who improve their communities through service. GYSD is the largest service event in the world and the only one dedicated to the contributions that children and youth make 365 days of the year.
