Our Goal:
We're building a Children's Community Garden and Play Space! This summer our families and volunteers will be investing in the next phase of building our Children's Garden on the grounds of Cincinnati Mennonite Fellowship, a dedicated space designed to spark a child's sense of wonder and discovery, where they can interact with peers, learn about the environment, and develop a deeper appreciation of community. This Children’s Community Garden also serves as a collaborative environment, where parents and caretakers are learning too, and modeling what it looks like to care for themselves, each other and the earth - through mind, body & spirit.
Reclaim Summer 2025: Day of Service & Kick-off Party, June 1st, 3-6pm
On Sunday, June 1st, families of all ages gathered to serve, play and eat together to kick-off a summer of care-free fun! A small grant from Serve Ohio helped us plan and pay for plants, materials, a guest speaker and snacks. This is an initiative of ServeOhio's Summer Day of Service.
Now We Need Your Help Tending the Garden!
We need volunteers to help us maintain our vegetable and pollinator garden spaces. Come anytime after 9am and before dusk on a Tuesday or Sunday in July/Aug to weed/water as needed.
OR
Sign up to join us on a Thursday morning in June to help kids with garden projects during our "Care-Free Families" Thursday playgroup. Come early and stay late to help us prepare the space, 9am-11am.
We'll provide garden tools, instructions and snacks!
If you have special skills to contribute to this space of imagination and wonder, please reach out to share your ideas. Contact jen@imaginecincinnati.org.
