Volunteer to build an inclusive playground! Alexander Community Build

Expired

Description

We need volunteers to help us build our new and beautiful inclusive playground at Alexander Elementary School. Sign up for a morning or afternoon shift or both! No experience required but skills with tools and assembling things from a set of directions is definitely a plus.

Who: 10-15 volunteers needed for every shift

What: Building a playground! Digging holes, mixing and pouring concrete, drilling, erecting large posts, assembling playground equipment using manuals (supervisors will be present)

Where: Alexander Elementary School in Albany, Ohio

When: June 10-14 and 17-21 from 8:30 am-12:30 pm and 1:00-5:00 pm (*Lunch provided if you choose both a morning and an afternoon shift)

Why: Because all children of all abilities need a space where they can play together!

How: Just sign up for what shift(s) you would like at this link and we will send you a reminder a week before the build. If you want both a morning and an afternoon shift (and a free lunch!) just click one option and the next page will allow you to click both morning and afternoon shifts.
  • Bring any tools you have.
  • Free t-shirt and snacks provided.
  • Free lunch for those who volunteer for a morning and afternoon shift on the same day.

Our community build is sponsored by ServeOhio, Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service, and OhioHealth
