We have an opportunity for adult mentors to be matched with youth in Wayne County, ages 10-17, male and female. Male youth are matched with male mentors and female youth are matched with female mentors. The commitment is for one year for 4 hours each month. Two hours are at a monthly group event that the coordinator plans for all the mentors and mentees, and the other two hours are done individually between the mentor and mentee. Gas cards are provided to help with transportation costs and activities can be reimbursed. Mentors must provide documentation each month describing the activities done with the mentee. Background checks are paid for as well.
