ACCHD's MLK Day Garden Beds

Now on January 26 (due to weather), volunteers will help build two garden beds, one that is ADA-compliant and another with a deeper trough to support all kinds of growth. Both garden beds will be transported and placed by volunteers in a predetermined accessible spot in front of the Athens City-County Health Department. Volunteers will also decorate moveable planter pots and bricks and create accessible signage for the garden beds regarding the produce and guidelines for garden care. The information gathered will also be shared on the health department’s social media pages. Our original date was January 19, but it has been rescheduled to Jan 26, 2024.
