Join us at Cancer Support Community's thirteenth annual fundraising gala, Night of Chocolate! Volunteers must be 21+ for this event.

This event hosts some of Ohio's best chocolatiers for a decadent gala in support of Cancer Support Community's mission. The event is hosted at Hollywood Casino Columbus with over 500 attendees. At CSC Central Ohio, we provide over 70 monthly programs for anyone impacted by cancer, including support groups, educational programs, healthy lifestyle programs, counseling, navigation, and social support, all at no cost.
At this event, there is a live auction where all proceeds go directly to the CSCCO mission. In this position, you will be partnered and helping keep track of guests at the event who are actively bidding on items.
Live Auction Spotter 8:15pm – 9:45 pm
- Live auction spotters will assist the auctioneer and record winning bidder numbers and bid amounts on the tracking sheet.
- Spotters will assist the auctioneer by making him aware that a guest has offered a bid. (White flags will be provided for spotters to wave to get the auctioneer’s attention.)
- Spotters must approach the winning bidder and ask for name and bid number as well as initialing the bid tracking sheet before giving to the runner.
- Requirements: The ballroom can be dim, therefore ability to move quickly in these circumstances is necessary.
Live Auction Runner 8:15pm- 9:45 pm
- Live auction runners will be responsible for taking the winning bid sheets from the Live Auction Spotters to the check-out area so they can be entered into our system.
- Requirements: Plenty of walking back and forth throughout the venue. Being on your feet for extended periods.
Cocktail Attire is required for this event and all volunteers must be 21+.
Materials orienting volunteers about the CSCCO mission and materials related to the event will be provided prior.
Volunteers must provide their own transportation to Hollywood Casino. Dinner not provided, but there will be drinks and snacks.
