Join Healthy Harvest Corps and support healthy food access and nutrition education through hands-on, community-based service. This role blends culinary education, urban agriculture, and meal program support to help ensure youth and families have consistent access to nutritious food.
As a volunteer, you might:
- Lead interactive, youth-friendly cooking demonstrations using fresh, seasonal produce.
- Support youth field trips and agriculture-based learning experiences.
- Work on an urban farm by planting, harvesting, and maintaining hydroponic systems.
- Assist with meal preparation and service for Kid’s Café, ensuring food safety and quality standards.
- Support meal packing, delivery logistics, and USDA program compliance.
- Engage in community outreach and gather feedback to strengthen meal programs.
Through this role, you'll gain hands-on experience in nutrition education, urban farming, food service operations, and community engagement while helping build healthier food systems for youth and families.
