Expired

Description

Rural Action's Appalachian Ohio Restore Corps in partnership with ODNR's Ohio Outdoor Corps, was awarded a mini-grant from ServeOhio to help facilitate a Martin Luther King Jr. Day of service at The People of Color Museum on Saturday 20, 2024 from 9 am to 4 pm.

In this event, volunteers will be able to learn about the history of the Tablertown and continue to reflect on the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., while helping with a variety of activities around the area such as cleaning out the building of the new museum site, assisting with cleaning up the cemetery and beautifying the existing museum's site.

If interested in volunteering, please sign up here!  There are four different shifts and volunteers can sign up for as many as they want.

All equipment will be provided the day of. We will have a warming station and we recommend wearing close-toed shoes. Dress for the weather as most activities will take place outside.

Can't be there that day? Sign up for a 'virtual' volunteering opportunity! In honor of community coming together, we will be having a structured potluck. Please sign up here and help provide food for our volunteers that day.
