Community Food Initiatives volunteers will be distributing "Seeds of Change" Kits to residents of a local low-income housing development. Kits will be packaged in a reusable grocery bag and will contain the following: locally grown and produced popcorn, chips, and salsa made with local ingredients by volunteers in our community kitchen; ingredients and recipes to make an additional batch of salsa at home, and educational information about MLK Day. Also included will be links to MLK videos, thus presenting families with several options for an educational, healthy, local "snacks and a movie" night in the safety of their own homes.
