Who We Are

Serenity Health & Wellness was founded on the principle that everyone deserves access to comprehensive mental health and wellness services. With over 50 years of combined experience, our dedicated team has served the Cuyahoga County community for over three years, addressing mental health and substance use challenges while promoting resilience and personal growth. ​Our programs are tailored to meet the needs of at-risk populations, including youth, veterans, and underserved communities, offering evidence-based therapies and individualized care plans. We strive to create lasting positive change through initiatives like our iMIND Expressive Art and Violence Prevention program, empowering individuals to thrive and achieve holistic well-being. Serenity's staff brings over 30 years of experience providing substance use and mental health treatment, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and supportive housing to more than 1,000 adults from economically disadvantaged communities across Northeast Ohio. Our team is composed of highly trained professionals, many of whom have first-hand experience with addiction and recovery. Our Clinical Director, with over 30 years in the mental health field, specializes in grief counseling, group therapy, adolescent therapy, art therapy, and family therapy. With a background that includes a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Sciences from San Francisco State University and a Master of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from CSU, Sacramento, our Clinical Director brings a wealth of expertise to our services. ​Our addiction treatment program offers: Group therapy tailored to individual experiences and personality traits Personalized one-on-one therapy sessions Comprehensive case management, including assistance with basic needs, legal issues, and job placement Peer support services for ongoing recovery

What We Do

Comprehensive Services for Recovery Serenity Health & Wellness offers a range of programs and services designed to support every step of the recovery journey: ​Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): An intensive, structured treatment option for individuals facing severe mental health or substance use challenges, providing daily therapeutic support. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): A flexible program that addresses substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, combining group therapy and life skills development. Outpatient Program (OP): For individuals who require ongoing support but do not need 24-hour care, our outpatient services offer regular treatment sessions tailored to each client's needs. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): We use FDA-approved medications to help manage withdrawal symptoms and support recovery. Prevention Programs: Our preventative care initiatives aim to reduce the risk of addiction through education, early intervention, and community outreach. Peer Support: Trained peer mentors with lived experience with recovery encourage and guide those on their recovery journey. Supportive Housing: We offer housing options with no financial deposits required, ensuring clients have a safe, stable place to live during treatment. Food Security: We help clients access nutritious food to support their health and well-being. Workforce and Personal Development: Our programs empower clients with the skills and training to rebuild their lives and achieve self-sufficiency. Crisis Intervention: We are available to provide immediate support and help restore basic coping skills during crises. Co-Occurring Disorders: We specialize in treating individuals who experience both substance use and mental health conditions, addressing the interconnected nature of these challenges.
