Who We Are

Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is the official civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force, comprised of dedicated volunteers who commit their time and skills to serving communities, states, and the nation. Our membership includes both senior adult members and youth cadets who share a passion for aviation, leadership, and public service. The Ohio Wing of CAP exemplifies these ideals, driven by the core values of Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence, and Respect. With structured leadership, including dedicated Vice Commanders and Chiefs of Staff overseeing specialized areas such as Operations, Diversity, Emergency Services, Aerospace Education, and Cadet Programs, the Ohio Wing ensures mission readiness and continuous improvement. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds, bringing unique talents and experiences. We focus on teamwork, innovation, and fostering an inclusive environment where every member can contribute and excel. What We Do

Civil Air Patrol (CAP) serves as the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force, dedicated to three core missions: Emergency Services: CAP conducts search and rescue operations, disaster relief, humanitarian aid, and maintains readiness through advanced training and cutting-edge technology to rapidly respond during emergencies. Aerospace Education: CAP promotes aerospace knowledge and STEM-based education initiatives for cadets and the broader community, inspiring interest in aviation, space careers, and related technologies. Cadet Programs: CAP fosters youth leadership, character development, and self-discipline. Cadets receive mentorship, leadership training, and scholarship opportunities, preparing them to become responsible citizens and future leaders. Ohio Wing's dedication includes building robust community partnerships, enhancing stakeholder experiences, promoting a strong safety culture, and providing a supportive environment where volunteers are empowered and recognized for their contributions.
