Common Thread

Common Thread is led by co-chairs Laurie Winkler (Milford, Ohio) and Janet Murphy (Middleburg, Ohio). Our volunteers are based throughout the western portion of Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Our approach is to let volunteers work at their own pace, hold a "Community Day" once or twice a year so that volunteers can meet and share ideas. Common Thread is a faith-based volunteer organization that sews, knits, and crochets quality of life items for hospitals, schools, hospices, churches, pregnancy support organizations, community organizations and more throughout Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Annually, Common Thread donates thousands of pieces to various organizations. Pieces include bibs, burp cloths, knitted and crocheted hats of all sizes, car seat blankets, therapy doll gowns, therapy carrots, and more.
