Who We Are
The Resiliency Center opened in October 2020, a project of Sojourners Care Network which was founded in 1999. Sojourners mission is to empower young people to become healthy, responsible, and productive citizens now and in the future. We envision a day when no young person is considered at-risk, deficient, or a problem to be solved. Rather, young people will be seen as partners in the development of themselves and their communities. We believe that involving young people in their community’s nonprofit and faith-based organizations through service learning, volunteerism, and leadership is both a powerful youth development strategy and a serious and vital approach to economic and community development.
What We Do
The Sojourners Resiliency Center offers a safe place for youth ages 12-21 in addition to resources for anyone in the community, including a food pantry, clothing closet, laundry machines, and shower services. The Resiliency Center offers daily programming focused on practical living, arts and crafts, physical activity, tutoring, and resume building.
