Who We Are
For more than 90 years, The Dawes Arboretum has leveraged its resources to educate others on the importance of trees, nature and conservation. Our founders, Beman and Bertie Dawes, created The Arboretum as a private foundation to encourage the planting of forest and ornamental trees, to give pleasure to the public and to educate all people, particularly the youth.
What We Do
The Dawes Arboretum works to conserve trees and nature. The Arboretum works to share the importance of conservation with others. Committed to restoration, The Arboretum has planted over 5,500 native trees in the last six years.
