COAD/RSVP Program

Who We Are

The Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) is a 54-year-old nonprofit organization that provides direct services for Ohio’s Appalachian counties in early childcare and education, AmeriCorps Seniors, home weatherization and energy efficiency, Pathways Community Hub Institute for healthcare coordination, the Stivison Appalachian Community Action Scholarship, and serves the state of Ohio and beyond in its accredited Weatherization Training Center. COAD also operates as the administration and advocacy hub for its 17-member Community Action Network, and as such can offer unique regional benefits including connecting a credentialed workforce with meaningful employment.

What We Do

The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans (55 and older) with opportunities to help solve community problems. RSVP volunteers choose how and where they want to serve – from a few hours each month to over 20 hours a week. RSVP makes it easy for older adults to find the types of volunteer service opportunities that appeal to them.
