

Who We Are
Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital is one of 6 state run free standing psychiatric hospitals under the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. We offer care to those patients who cannot be cared for in the general community. NOPH has 116 beds with 5 units. Our units are broken up by civil (patients admitted via emergency request or probate) and forensic (patients who are court ordered here for evaluations and treatment or were found NGRI (not guilty by reason of insanity). NOPH serves 23 counties in Northwest Ohio from the Sandusky region west to Indiana and from the Michigan border south to near Dayton.We have over 200 staff member who are all specially trained to care for patients with severe mental illness. NOPH is committed to helping erase the stigmas associated with Mental Health! What We Do
Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital is one of the 6 adult inpatient psychiatric hospital under the State of Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The hospital is made of 5 unit, 3 forensic and 2 civil, and a total of 116 beds. Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital serves 23 counties across Northwest Ohio. The hospital provides a variety of services to the patients including, but not limited to, Recreational Therapy, Pet Therapy, SAMI, Cosmetology, Vocational, Spiritual, and Dietary services.
